Travelers’ fault, too
Re “Passport answers in short supply,” June 20
This article missed a key group that led to the overload of passport requests: travelers. When new rules were unveiled in April 2005, I recall notifications to apply early before the rules came into effect. The travel industry should have done more to advertise the rules, and travelers need to take responsibility for their procrastination.
