GETTING TECHNICAL

Though the Detroit Pistons’ Rasheed Wallace has had two technical fouls rescinded, he still leads the league with 14. He is followed by Phoenix’s Amare Stoudemire (11), Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki, Denver’s Allen Iverson and Detroit teammate Richard Hamilton (10). The Lakers’ Kobe Bryant has nine.

A player is automatically suspended for one game when he receives his 16th technical foul and suspended for one game for every one afterward.

Before that rule, Wallace set a league record with 41 technical fouls during the 2000-01 season.

O’NEAL MILESTONES

When the Miami Heat’s Shaquille O’Neal surpassed 25,000 points Monday, he became the seventh player to score that many and grab 10,000 rebounds. He joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Wilt Chamberlain, Moses Malone, Elvin Hayes and Hakeem Olajuwon.

O’Neal joined an even more select group in becoming the fourth player to surpass 25,000 points and win at least four NBA titles, with Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan and John Havlicek being the others.
