Lost humility
Re “God’s word, plus static,” Column One, Feb. 28
We have been reminded many times by evangelicals that “Christians aren’t better, just forgiven.” Humility seems to have been lost at some point, though, as the actions and words by many in this story demonstrate. The moral arrogance of these people is astounding, from the alleged sexual misconduct of preacher Mike Kestler to the Christian lawyer’s comments about heathen judges. Yet I daily have to hear evangelicals talk about my morality?
