Cheap values
Re “Gingrich warns college of ‘radical secularism,’ ” May 20
It sure was heartwarming to see that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was at Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University, talking about values.
Gingrich, of course, is the fellow who led the attack on President Clinton over the Lewinsky affair while he was busy having an affair of his own -- which, of course, he failed to mention at the time. He later justified his conduct by saying that Clinton lied to a judge, which presumably was worse than Gingrich lying to his wife, friends and the country.
It would have made Falwell, the old huckster, proud to see Gingrich in action.
