Committee is split on multi-unit parking issue
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A city ordinance that would make it easier for developers to build less parking for multi-unit apartment buildings near mass transit received a split vote Tuesday in the City Council’s Planning Committee.
The ordinance is being pushed by the city Planning Department. Many residents have complained that the law would flood their neighborhoods with cars from those buildings.
The matter will go to the full council soon.
