Britney Spears is booked on misdemeanor counts

Police booked pop star Britney Spears on Monday on misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and driving without a valid license in connection with an incident this summer.
The singer appeared at the Van Nuys County Jail, where she was photographed and fingerprinted, police said.
