Colts...30 Texans...24
HOUSTON -- Joseph Addai ran for two touchdowns and Adam Vinatieri had three field goals to lead the Baltimore Colts to a 30-24 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Vinatieri’s third field goal pushed the Indianapolis lead to 30-17 in the third period.
Houston (2-1) scored the last points of the game when Vonta Leach caught a one-yard pass from Matt Schaub with 2 minutes 49 seconds remaining. Schaub passed for 236 yards and one touchdown.
The Texans lost running back Ahman Green because of a knee injury on the first series of the second quarter, and defensive tackle Cedric Killings was taken off the field on a stretcher after a headfirst collision with Colts receiver Roy Hall as Jerome Mathis returned a kickoff in the second quarter. The Texans said Killings suffered a neck injury, but had feeling in his extremities.
Peyton Manning passed for 273 yards and a touchdown for the Colts (3-0).
