* at Chicago 6, St. Louis 2: Ronny Cedeno’s double capped a five-run sixth inning and Ryan Dempster improved to 13-5.
* at Milwaukee 5, Washington 4 (13 innings): Gabe Kapler homered leading off the 13th inning and the Brewers won their fifth game in a row.
* Houston 13, at Cincinnati 4: Michael Bourn homered and drove in a career-high four runs to lift the Astros.
