Crash claims office to open
The Marine Corps is establishing a claims office to help people who suffered damage or loss because of the crash Monday of an F/A-18D Hornet, officials said Wednesday.
“The Marine Corps remains committed to supporting those affected by this tragedy,” an official statement said. People can call (858) 577-1889 or 577-1876 for information.
U.S. Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein on Wednesday called on the Marine Corps to complete its investigation “as swiftly as possible” into the crash that killed four and destroyed two University City neighborhood homes.
The report should be made public immediately, they said.
