Update: The struggling Ducks began Friday sixth in the Western Conference, a mere four points ahead of ninth-place Colorado. They have managed only eight points in their last 10 games. The Ducks have seven of their next 10 games at home and will face six teams currently out of a playoff spot. Meanwhile, after a sluggish start, ripe with controversy, the Stars appear to have found their gait. Sean Avery was ditched after his latest controversial comments and the Stars have a 5-2-1 record since. They sit only three points out of a playoff spot.
