at Denver 52, UC Riverside 46: Kyle Lewis scored 13 points as Denver (6-6) won its fifth in a row. Kyle Austin led UC Riverside (7-4) with 19 points. The Highlanders missed their first five shots to start the game and didn’t have a field goal until Brandon Dowdy’s three-point basket with 13:20 left in the first half. They shot 39% from the field in losing consecutive games for the first time this year. Denver led 32-22 at halftime.
at New Mexico State 104, Loyola Marymount 62: Sophomore guard Jahmar Young scored a season-high 30 points to lead the Aggies (6-6) at Las Cruces. Guard Corey Counts led the Lions (0-14) with 19 points. He was the only Lion to shoot better 50% from the field, making six of his 11 shots.
Buffalo 72, Pepperdine 71 (OT): Andy Robinson made a 12-foot jumper with 0.3 seconds left in overtime to help Buffalo advance to the semifinals of the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic at Honolulu. The Bulls (6-4) rallied from as many as 14 points down. The Waves (1-12) have dropped their last 12 games. The Waves led 32-20 at halftime, despite committing 14 turnovers, and scored the first six points of the extra period to take a quick 67-61 lead.
