It was music to the eyes
AFTER performing with Tina Turner at the Grammys in an itty-bitty, blinged-out costume, Beyonce changed into a sunshine-colored floor-length dress to brighten up the party circuit. She bonded with sis Solange at the Universal Music Group soiree at the Palms, showed a li’l respect for Aretha Franklin in a poolside cabana at the Beverly Hills Hotel during the Sony/BMG party and toasted Def Jam prez Antonio “L.A.” Reid with her beau, Jay-Z, at the Entertainment Weekly bash. Also coming out to support the exec at West Hollywood’s new hot boite STK: Kanye West, who sneaked in through a private elevator. But once inside, the multiple Grammy winner was easy to spot as he donned the same day-glo jacket and white shades he wore during his emotional tribute to his mom. Guess not everybody needs wardrobe changes a la Beyonce. . . . West premiered his music video “Flashing Lights” for the VIP crowd of 200, which included Jermaine Dupri, who DJ’d; Quincy Jones; Mariah Carey; John Legend; Chris Brown; and Rihanna, who brought the L.A. crowd to its feet at Boulevard3 a few nights earlier with a booty-shaking set during an In Style/Recording Academy pre-Grammys shindig.
