La Scala Ballet cancels L.A. gig
La Scala Ballet has canceled its July 1 and 2 appearances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion because funding for the Italian company’s tour fell through. The company was to have danced “Romeo and Juliet” with La Scala star Roberto Bolle and Kirov Ballet star Diana Vishneva. The ballet will not be replaced with another company.
