A fine pairing
Re “The deal of the art,” editorial, Feb. 18
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Eli Broad are a perfect marriage. The two coming together was a natural. Not only does this relieve LACMA of the burden and some responsibilities, it allows Broad to have a major museum on a world-class art campus. Yes, he gave the money to build this amazing building, but LACMA provides the space, employees, advertising and the name recognition. As a docent, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share this amazing collection with students from all over the city, and I hope this marriage will remain a happy one.
