NOTES ON A CITYSCAPE

This week marks the second half the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s fortnight-long Concrete Frequency, a multimedia festival to celebrate the sundry elements that comprise a city and how they manifest themselves in music. Including collaborations between composer Michael Gordon, left, and filmmaker Bill Morrison, performances by Brit techno duo Plaid, Japanese ensemble Cornelius and the L.A.-based orchestra itself, the series of events presents an array of sounds and images to honor the urban landscape. Noted conductor David Robertson shepherds the Phil through the works of Berio, Ives, Feldman and Boulez, among others. 2 and 8 p.m. today-next Thursday, Disney Hall. $15-$142.
