Big-city splendor
Swarovski crystals by the yard, Mongolian lamb wool throw pillows, 720-thread-count cotton sheets. These are a few of the luxury trimmings that inspired Thomas Piscitello to name his business after a target customer: Mogul. A former employee of Fendi and Frette, Piscitello (here, at left, with partner, painter Neal Wagner, who did the pair of Nest abstracts, $9,000, above them) brings high fashion home. Mogul’s 2008 Haute Hollywood collection, named for desirable L.A. addresses, includes a super-sized Rossmore headboard (a Rococo-inspired tufted white leather fantasy) and a domed wing chair, the Hudson. To complement the velvet Chesterfield-style sofa, $7,990, shown, the Trousdale, $5,990, is an 8-foot-by-4-foot living room table. “I suppose you could have your coffee on it,” Piscitello says. “But we’re all about cocktail tables.” 8262 Melrose Ave., L.A., (323) 658-5130, www.mogullife.com.
