Event to honor life of restaurateur Ed LaDou
A celebration of the life of chef and restaurateur Ed LaDou will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center, 4316 Lanai Road, Encino. LaDou, who helped pioneer the gourmet pizza movement in California, died of cancer Dec. 27.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA 91007.
Checks should be made payable to the Memorial Tribute Program and earmarked for the Ed LaDou memorial fund.
