Paying for Bush
Re “Democrats, Bush at odds over tax cuts,” Jan. 8
With flagging economic growth, gas prices on the rise and unemployment at increasing levels, isn’t it nice to know that President Bush and his crop of Republican obstructionists are content to turn their backs on the middle class and propose more tax cuts for the wealthy? When these cuts usher in a recession, I hope people will realize who, through vetoes and filibusters, left this on their doorsteps, and that they vote for a new direction in November. We simply can’t afford this crowd much longer.
