Man shot to death in front of a child
An 18-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon in an apparent gang-related shooting, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Wilson Rodriguez, was speaking with a child just before 3 p.m. outside a building in the 1500 block of East 85th Street when another man approached and shot him, said Deputy Bill Brauberger of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Rodriguez died at a local hospital of his injuries, Brauberger said.
