Fashion nonsense

Re “Butt out,” editorial, July 23

Although Times editors scoff at the Flint, Mich., ban on sagging trousers, I find it really thrilling that somebody is taking a critical stance on the subject.

I find the fashion statement truly disgusting and wish that police chiefs, mayors, governors and school principals everywhere would take the same position.

Yes, I am seventy-something, so my opinion is expected. Still, this fashion is ugly and low-life. I’m really annoyed that The Times sees this as frivolous.
