Update -- After losing for the ninth time in their last 13 games Friday night, the Sparks moved closer to mediocrity. A loss to Minnesota would drop them out of fourth place in the Western Conference, the final qualifying spot for the postseason. The Sparks welcomed back their starting front line Friday night at New York, but Candace Parker, Lisa Leslie and DeLisha Milton-Jones combined for 15 of the team’s 20 turnovers in the 69-68 loss. The Olympic trio was suspended for Thursday’s loss at Connecticut for their involvement in a fight Tuesday at Detroit. The Lynx could be without rookies Candice Wiggins (lower back bruise) and Charde Houston (knee bruise). They did not play Friday in a 78-68 victory over visiting San Antonio.
