Addiction: A July 23 Opinion essay said that crowds at Yankee Stadium cheered for Texas Ranger (and former addict) Josh Hamilton as he won a home run derby on the eve of the All-Star Game. Hamilton didn’t win the derby; Justin Morneau of the Minnesota Twins won it in the final round. Hamilton was cheered because he hit a record 28 home runs in the first round.
