2 gunmen sought in home invasion
Authorities searched Monday for two gunmen who invaded a Lakewood home Sunday evening, tied up the residents and ransacked the house before fleeing with only a video game system.
The victims, two men and a woman, all in their early 20s, were watching the Lakers game at a home in the 5300 block of Briercrest Avenue when the gunmen entered through an unlocked screen door about 8:45 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
One of the gunmen struck one of the victims on the head with a handgun while the victims were being tied up, authorities said. The gunmen ransacked the home, but ended up taking just a Sony PlayStation 3.
The gunmen were described as Latino men, each about 5 feet 10 and weighing 160 to 190 pounds, authorities said. They were wearing dark-colored clothing and fled in a gray four-door Chevrolet Malibu.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lakewood Station at (562) 623-3500.
