‘60 Minutes’ to be franchised
“60 Minutes” is going global. The venerable CBS News newsmagazine announced Thursday that it is setting up a new unit to franchise the “60 Minutes” approach in countries around the world, as well as on digital platforms.
“60 Minutes Global” will help local producers produce their own versions of the newsmagazine, tailored for their communities, in exchange for a licensing fee.
