In games involving teams from the Mountain West and Western Athletic conferences: Inoke Funaki threw two touchdown passes and Dan Kelly gave Hawaii (2-3, 1-1 in the WAC) its first road win ever against a ranked team with his career-high fourth field goal as the Warriors took advantage of six Fresno State (3-2, 0-1) turnovers and three missed field goals to beat the 22nd-ranked Bulldogs, 32-29, in overtime. Fresno State’s Kevin Goessling had a 36-yard attempt blocked by Antwan Mahaley with 43 seconds to play in regulation, and missed a 35-yard kick in overtime. . . . Gartrell Johnson scored on a 10-yard run with nine seconds left, and John Mosure returned a fumble seven yards on the ensuing kickoff as host Colorado State (3-2, 1-0 in the MWC) rolled to a 41-28 win over Nevada Las Vegas (3-3, 0-2). . . . Navy blocked two punts for touchdowns, Matt Harmon tied a school record with four field goals and the Midshipmen (4-2) beat Air Force (3-2), 33-27, their sixth straight victory over the Falcons. . . . Quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for two touchdowns and running back Vai Taua ran for three more to lead visiting Nevada (3-2, 1-0 WAC) to a 49-14 win over Idaho (1-5, 0-2). . . . Safety Frankie Solomon’s 13-yard interception return for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage got host New Mexico (3-3, 1-1) rolling to a 24-0 win over Wyoming (2-4, 0-3), the Lobos’ first Mountain West Conference shutout since 1983.

In games involving Southland teams: Running backs Zach Schafer (175) and Jeff Stewart (130) each went over the 100-yard mark to lift Redlands (3-0, 1-0 SCIAC) to a 37-7 victory over host La Verne (0-3, 0-1). . . . Sebastian Trujillo threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns to help San Diego (5-0, 3-0 Pioneer) extend its home winning streak to 27 games with a 42-14 win over Valparaiso (1-3, 0-1). . . . Host Humboldt State (2-4) used big-play runs and passes to set up all of its scores as the Lumberjacks ended a three-game losing streak with a 24-17 victory over Azusa Pacific (1-5). . . . Wide receiver Ramses Barden caught three touchdown passes and running back James Noble ran for two more scores as Cal Poly SLO (3-1) coasted to a 49-22 win over South Dakota (2-4).
