Versus
One nationally ranked opponent down, another coming up for the Bruins. Brigham Young opened the season ranked No. 16, two spots higher than the Tennessee team UCLA upset Monday at the Rose Bowl. And the Cougars looked worthy of the rating in their first game, routing Northern Iowa, 41-17, as Max Hall passed for 486 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score. These teams split two games last season, with UCLA winning at home, 27-17, in the second game of the regular season, and BYU taking the Las Vegas Bowl, 17-16, a little more than three months later.
