17 feared dead in crash of aid flight
From Times Wire Reports
A humanitarian aid flight carrying 17 people crashed while trying to land during a storm in remote eastern Congo, and all aboard were feared dead, officials said.
Rugged terrain and fog prevented peacekeepers from immediately landing at the site.
Air Serv International, the aid group based in Warrenton, Va., that runs the twice-weekly flight between Kisangani and Bukavu, said helicopter surveys suggested everyone on board was killed.
