Murder case jury selection starts

Jury selection began Monday in Orange County Superior Court in the trial of a Long Beach man charged with killing a couple at sea and dumping them off their yacht.
Skylar Deleon is charged with killing an Arizona couple in 2004 while pretending to be interested in their 55-foot yacht. Prosecutors say he forced Thomas and Jackie Hawks to sign over ownership of the boat before tying them to an anchor and throwing them overboard.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Deleon, who also faces charges of killing a man in 2003. .
