Up next for Ducks: Saturday at San Jose
AT SAN JOSE
Time: 7.
On the air: TV: Prime Ticket; Radio: web only at anaheimducks.com
Site: HP Pavilion.
Records: Ducks 40-32-6, Sharks 51-15-11.
Record vs. Sharks: 1-3.
Update: The Ducks climbed from 13th in the West to seventh with a 9-2 surge that began March 18, but their playoff quest is likely to go to the wire. They’ve been shut out by Evgeni Nabokov in their last two games against the Sharks, most recently a 1-0 loss at Anaheim on March 15 in which former Duck Travis Moen scored the only goal. The Sharks, who have a three-game winning streak and own the best overall record in the NHL, will try to set a franchise record for wins. They previously won 51 games in 2006-07. Rob Blake and Marcel Goc have returned from injuries, but upper-body injuries will keep Patrick Marleau and Ryane Clowe out of the lineup. Former Duck Kent Huskins (foot) isn’t expected to play. The teams will play again Sunday at the Honda Center.
