MORNING BRIEFING
Bill Plaschke, we all love Tiger Woods, but c’mon. America needs him to win for a “cleansing breath” during an economic and ethical crisis? He’s an athlete, not the Messiah! He provides good entertainment and he’s a terrific competitor. Unless he can help the unemployment rate and increase our 401(k) values, let’s keep him on his rightful pedestal -- the one engraved “PGA Tour.”

Is Plaschke the president of the Tiger Woods Fan Club? The way he idolizes Tiger in his article makes me sick. Of course, we all want to see Tiger win on the final hole with the final putt, but how about rooting for the little guy, the Zach Johnsons and the Duffy Waldorfs of our world? How about writing about the struggles of the everyday guy instead of the guy on top! I will now root for the field instead of Tiger.

Tiger, you are a role model for millions of children around the world. They can read lips. When you take the Lord’s name in vain plus throw your clubs, that is inexcusable.
I don’t think you would want your kids, when they are old enough, to imitate your behavior on 18 Thursday at Augusta. Please watch what you do and say. The world’s children are watching.
