A small private plane bound from Pacoima to Brown Field near the Mexican border crashed Saturday morning in a remote part of Miramar Marine Corps Air Station, killing two people, officials said.
The plane, a Piper Comanche, crashed east of Interstate 15. No structures on the ground were damaged. The identities of the victims were not released Saturday, and the crash was still under investigation.
