. -- Lawrence Hill made sure his final collegiate nonconference game was memorable even if the only thing going through his mind was getting ready for the next game.

Hill scored 20 points in helping Stanford beat Cal State Bakersfield, 85-50, on Tuesday and immediately turned his attention to Stanford’s game at California on Saturday.

“I always think about the next game,” Hill said.

Landry Fields added 10 points for the Cardinal (15-7), which won its 11th straight nonconference game.

“I thought we played well from start to finish,” Stanford Coach Johnny Dawkins said.

Stanford played without leading scorer Anthony Goods, who fell ill during the shoot-around earlier in the day. Goods was dehydrated and needed an IV.

Latunde Santwon and Cory Brown each scored eight points to lead the Roadrunners (6-18), who fell to 1-13 on the road and lost their sixth in seven overall.
