Chris Pine proves he is not just a fly-by-night, good-looking actor in today’s market (“This Is Your Captain Speaking,” June 21).

I saw him in “Farragut North,” and Pine definitely has the acting chops. On stage almost throughout the entire production, he did a helluva job and is fully believable.

I wish him nothing but continued good roles in the future and what he deserves the most: longevity!
