Navy routs Rice, 63-14, behind Dobbs’ four rushing touchdowns

Navy 63, at Rice 14: Quarterback Ricky Dobbs ran for four touchdowns and passed only three times as the Midshipmen (4-2) routed the Owls (0-6).

Marshall 31, at Tulane 10: Ashton Hall ran 29 yards with a fumble recovery for the tiebreaking touchdown as the Thundering Herd (4-2, 2-1 Conference USA) beat the Green Wave (2-3, 0-2).

at Memphis 35, Texas El Paso 20: Curtis Steele ran for 240 yards and two touchdowns, and the Tigers (2-4, 1-2 C-USA) defeated the Miners (2-4, 1-1).

at Southern Methodist 28, East Carolina 21: Bo Levi Mitchell completed 17 of 29 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Mustangs (3-2, 2-0 C-USA) past the Pirates (3-3, 2-1).

Central Michigan 56, at Eastern Michigan 8: Dan LeFevour threw three touchdown passes and ran for three more scores as the Chippewas (5-1, 3-0 Mid-American) defeated the Eagles (0-5, 0-2).

at Temple 24, at Ball State 19: Freshman Bernard Pierce ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and Jaiquawn Jarrett grabbed two interceptions and recovered a fumble as the Owls (3-2, 3-0 MAC) beat the Cardinals (0-6, 0-2 MAC).

Bowling Green 36, at Kent State 35: Tyler Sheehan scored a nine-yard run with five seconds to go to lift the Falcons (2-4, 1-1 MAC) over the Golden Flashes (2-4, 1-1). Sheehan was 44 for 63 passing with 505 yards and four touchdowns.

Ohio 19, at Akron 7: Theo Scott passed for a touchdown and Melvin Payne scored after recovering his own blocked punt in the end zone to help the Bobcats (4-2, 2-0 MAC) beat the Zips (1-4, 0-2).

Western Michigan 58, at Toledo 26: Brandon West ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as the Broncos (3-3, 2-1 MAC) routed the Rockets (3-3, 1-1).
