Update: Coach Ben Howland said point guards Lazeric Jones and Jerime Anderson would spend some time together on the floor to contest Washington’s three-guard lineup of Isaiah Thomas, Abdul Gaddy and Venoy Overton. Combating the Huskies’ dribble penetration and pressure defense are two factors Howland emphasized as keys to snapping Washington’s streak of eight consecutive victories against Pac-10 opponents dating to last season. The status of Washington guard C.J. Wilcox, sidelined against USC because of a hip infection, will be decided at game time.
