Morro Bay: Half off a second night at Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Baywood Inn Bed & Breakfast on the back side of Morro Bay offers an added incentive to visit in winter and early spring: half-off a second night.

The deal: I like the location of this 18-room inn and the extras you get -- each room has a refrigerator and fireplace. The inn sits in the community of Baywood Park on what’s called the “back bay,” a quiet location close to Montana de Oro State Park as well as the town of Morro Bay.

The 2nd Night Half Off sale discounts a second night’s stay, excluding Saturdays and holidays. Rooms and suites at the inn regularly run from $80 to $200 per night.

When: The offer is good for stays from January through the end of March.

Tested: You can make a reservation online, but it won’t reflect the discounted second night; the bill will be recalculated when you visit. Check the website for pictures and descriptions of rooms. I called and selected the Emerald Bay room on March 8 for a two-night stay. The first night costs $110 and the second is $55; prices don’t include tax.
