NBA contract: An article in Saturday’s Sports section about a contract proposal by the National Basketball Assn. said the plan, which was later withdrawn, contained provisions including the modification of existing contracts, “something no U.S. professional league has ever sought.” Players and owners in the National Hockey League agreed to cut all existing contracts by 24% under terms of ending their labor dispute in 2005.
Daytona 500: A brief item in Saturday’s Sports section coverage of the Daytona 500 named Tony Stewart as one of several former winners seen as possible picks to win Sunday’s race. Stewart has not won the event.
American Airlines charge: An article in the Feb. 9 Business section about American Airlines’ decision to charge $8 for a pillow and blanket in coach class for certain trips described flights to and from Hawaii as international. They are domestic flights.
Billy Al Bengston: An article in Tuesday’s Calendar section about an exhibition of the artist’s work shown in a replica of the influential Ferus Gallery said that the exhibition would open Wednesday. The show opened Tuesday.
Hollywood Show: An article in Monday’s Calendar section about last weekend’s Hollywood Show, where celebrities sign autographs and pose for pictures, said that former “Knots Landing” stars Joan Van Ark and Donna Mills would be appearing Thursday in an episode of the FX series “ Nip/Tuck.” The episode will air tonight.
Quentin Tarantino: The Big Picture column in Tuesday’s Calendar section, about the films that influenced Quentin Tarantino’s film “ Inglourious Basterds,” misspelled Marlene Dietrich’s name as Marlena.
