UC Irvine 65, at Cal State Northridge 62: Eric Wise scored 14 points to lead five players in double figures as the Anteaters (8-7, 2-1 Big West) handed the Matadors (4-10, 0-3) their seventh loss in a row. Patrick Rembert and Derrick Strings had 12 points apiece for Irvine. Willie Galick had 15 points for Northridge.

at Cal State Fullerton 85, Long Beach State 75: Gerard Anderson scored 22 points and Jacques Streeter had 20 for the Titans (6-7, 1-2 Big West). The 49ers (6-9, 0-2) got 18 points from Greg Plater and 15 each from Larry Anderson and Casper Ware.
