For the record - Jan. 10, 2010
Cuban tourism: Last week’s Foreign Briefing incorrectly reported that Cuba expected to log a record 2.4 million tourists this year, up 3.3% from last year. It expects to have logged that number for 2009, up 3.3% from 2008.
2010 roundup: A selection of events for 2010 incorrectly reported last week that cabins for the maiden voyage of Cunard’s new Queen Elizabeth ocean liner could be booked beginning in April. Those ticket sales began in April 2009, and the maiden voyage, scheduled for October, is sold out. Some space remains for the maiden voyage season; for info, see www.cunard.com. Also, the date of a solar eclipse was incorrectly reported as July 12. The eclipse will take place on July 11.
