Week ahead for Dodgers
Tuesday through Thursday: at Cincinnati Reds
Friday through Sunday: at Boston Red Sox
It’ll be all Manny, all the time when the Dodgers visit Fenway Park next weekend, the first time Manny Ramirez plays in Boston since the Red Sox paid the Dodgers to take him off their hands in 2008. The Fenway faithful, conditioned by breathless reports that Ramirez quit on the Red Sox, might well jeer him unmercifully. But Manny being Manny was about more than goofy antics, so let’s go to the scoreboard. World Series championships for Boston since 1918: with Manny, 2; without Manny, 0. Postseason victories in ’08 and ‘09: Dodgers (with Manny) 8; Red Sox (without Manny) 6.
