Hawaii deal: Los Angeles-Honolulu round-trip flights for $438 -- or less

The deal: Winter fares advertised on the Hawaiian Airlines website are lowest for flights to Honolulu ($438 plus tax). The sale also includes round-trip airfares starting at $568 plus tax to Maui, Kauai and, on the Big Island, Kona and Hilo.

When: Good for flights Monday through March 10, but you must reserve your flight by 11:59 PST Friday.

Tested: I checked online Wednesday night and found an even lower price from L.A. to Honolulu than the winter fares posted on the airline’s website. Leaving Feb. 2 and returning Feb. 9, I found a seat for $362 round-trip including tax. I also checked Kayak.com, which showed that price as the lowest L.A.-Honolulu airfare available on those dates.
