Get ‘Unbored’ with Josh Glenn and Mark Frauenfelder on Tuesday
Join us for a live video chat with two unboring fellows -- Josh Glenn, co-editor of the new book “Unbored,” and Boing Boing’s Mark Fraunfelder, editor in chief of Make magazine, who wrote the book’s introduction.
And, in a first for our book video series, we’re going to make something.
Actually, the gentlemen are going to make something. I’m going to watch from a safe Internet distance, because guys often like to play with stuff that can ignite. Join us Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific time, 1 p.m. Eastern time, for a video chat in which something -- hopefully not too incendiary -- will happen.
Published by Bloomsbury with a very shiny cover, “Unbored” officially hits shelves Oct. 16. The book, co-edited by Elizabeth Foy Larson, is a parent-and-kids guide to doing things that are smart and quirky. Fun facts about condiments? Advice on starting a band? Yarn bombing, fan fiction, game hacking? It’s all there, illustrated.
Josh and Mark will talk about at least some of those things, and about the range of voices and ideas that have come together in “Unbored.” While making something.
