2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray to make L.A. debut
It debuted to the world in Detroit and traveled to Arizona for a charity auction. Now it’s finally landing in Los Angeles.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will make its L.A. debut at the Petersen Automotive Museum on Friday. The car will be on display at a gala held by the museum, which will kick off a weekend of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Corvette.
The designer of the C7 Stingray, Kirk Bennion, will be on hand at the gala to introduce the car and discuss the car’s controversial styling.

If your calendar can’t accommodate a Friday night out, the C7 will be on display throughout the weekend. The museum will host several events on Saturday that will allow visitors to get an up-close look at the seventh-generation Corvette.

A Corvette Day Car Show will be open to the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Petersen says over 500 Corvettes from every generation will be featured. Friday and Saturday will also see panel discussions on the racing history of the car, restoration tips and collection values.
In addition to the weekend festivities, the Petersen will have on display a Corvette exhibit through March 31. The collection includes the first Corvette shown to the public, an Italian-bodied Corvette by Scaglietti, and a mid-engine prototype from 1960.
