Louise Taper’s Beverly Park home collects $13.8 million in sale
Noted Abraham Lincoln manuscript and artifact collector Louise Taper has sold her estate in gated Beverly Park for $13.8 million.
Taper had remodeled the Colonial, built in 1988, and enlarged it to 13,500 square feet. The house has a grand entry foyer; a den with a bar; seven bedrooms, one of which she used as a 16-seat theater; 10 bathrooms and staff quarters. The nearly 4.25 acres of grounds include gardens, a pool and a motor court.
The Mark Taper Forum at the Music Center is named after real estate developer and philanthropist S. Mark Taper. His son Barry married Louise, who was widowed in 2001.
Billy Rose and H. Blair Chang of the Agency in Beverly Hills were the listing agents. Aron Kelman of Kam Realty Enterprises in Beverly Hills represented the buyer.
