Nokia to build its own Windows tablet, report says
Nokia is reportedly preparing to launch a tablet of its own that will run on the latest version of Windows.
The Finnish mobile phone maker will start selling a tablet in early 2013, according to the Verge, which cites unnamed sources familiar with the matter. The tablet will reportedly run on Windows RT, which is a light version of Windows 8 that’s designed for tablets.
The tablet will have a 10.1-inch screen, HDMI and USB ports and 10 hours of battery life, according to the report. The tablet is also expected to have cellular connectivity and will be able to work with AT&T;’s network, according to the report.

What might make the Nokia tablet stand out from the crowd, however, is its cover.
The Verge says the cover will have a built-in battery that would power the tablet when it begins to run low on its own battery. Additionally, the cover will also provide the tablet with a keyboard and kickstand as well as two additional USB ports.
The report doesn’t provide pricing information or an exact release day. It says Nokia could unveil the tablet in February at the Mobile World Congress convention in Barcelona.
