Twitter suffers outages
Twitter’s site has been experiencing outages throughout Thursday morning.
The website went down multiple times but would come back up until about 10:30 a.m. PDT, when it finally went down for a longer stretch.
I checked if the site was down for most people over at downforeveryoneorjustme.com, and it said that Twitter was in fact down.
The issues were also confirmed by the company on one of its pages. As can be seen in the image above, at one point Twitter said it had resolved the outages. But shortly after the image was taken, the site was updated to read “The issue is on-going and engineers are working to resolve it.”
However, the site came back at about 11:10 a.m. after being down for over a half an hour.
In response to questions about the outage, a Twitter spokesman directed me to the status site and said the company hopes to provide more information later. He also apologized for the inconvenience.
[Updated, June 21, 12 p.m.: Twitter crashed once again at around noon PDT.]
