Cypress Hill rapper B-Real seeks $1.5 million for colorful Northridge home
Rapper B-Real of Cypress Hill fame has put his longtime home in Northridge up for sale for about $1.5 million.
The two-story home, built in 1989, sits on about half an acre of grounds and has a large palladian window over the entry.
Inside, the 4,818 square feet of living space draws the eye with a range of colorful hues. Living and dining rooms are awash in canary yellow, and the family room is painted bright red. Bursts of color continue upstairs in the master bedroom, which has a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the grounds.
There are five bedrooms and five bathrooms in all.
A sports court, a fenced swimming pool and a trellis-topped patio are among exterior features. Lawns and mature trees fill out the grounds.
The house last changed hands in 2001 for $725,000, property records show.
Craig White of Compass holds the listing. The exact list price is $1,500,038.
B-Real, whose legal name is Louis Freese, is the lead rapper for Cypress Hill. The Latino American group has hits such as “Insane in the Brain,” “Dr. Greenthumb” and “Rap Superstar.”
The 46-year-old rapper released his debut solo album, “Smoke N Mirrors,” in 2009.
