Bruce Livingstone sells landmark home in Los Feliz
Bruce Livingstone, the founder of iStockphoto.com, has sold his 1966 landmark home in Los Feliz for $3.28 million.
Designed by architect Edward H. Fickett, the Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument is called the Jacobson House for its original owners.
The post-and-beam contemporary has been kept intact and meticulously maintained. The 2,926 square feet of living space in two stories features walnut paneling, clerestory windows, a built-in bar, wrap-around decks, red-brick accents and an interior atrium.
Fireplaces are located in the living room and master bedroom. Including the separate guest house/office, there are three bedrooms and four bathrooms. A swimming pool completes the grounds. Views take in the cityscape and mountains.
Fickett designed tens of thousands of single-family homes, including prefab and affordable houses, as well as the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad and the Port of Los Angeles passenger and cargo terminals.
Livingstone, 44, sold iStockphoto to Getty Images in 2006 for $50 million. He is the chief executive of the stock photography cooperative Stocksy United.
The property previously changed hands in 2009 for $2.445 million.
Patricia Ruben of Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent. Aaron Kirman of John Aaroe Group represented the buyer.
