Longtime Century City home of actress Deanna Lund sells for $1.45 million
The Century City home where Deanna Lund, the late actress known for her role on the late-1960s sci-fi show “Land of the Giants,” lived for decades has sold for $1.45 million.
Tucked behind a white-picket fence, the character-filled traditional-style house dates to 1932. A covered front porch opens to a sunny living room with barrel-rolled ceilings and hardwood floors. Built-in benches flank a brick fireplace on one side of the living room.
A dining room, a galley-style kitchen, a breakfast nook, three bedrooms and three bathrooms fill out 2,415 square feet of living space. There’s also a studio and a guest apartment on the lower floor.
Outdoors, there’s a swimming pool and patio space. A two-car garage sits off the front.
In addition to “Land of the Giants,” Lund appeared on the daytime soap operas “One Life to Live” and “General Hospital” and the live-action series “Batman.” Her film credits include “Johnny Tiger” (1966), “Tony Rome” (1967) and “Stick” (1985). She died last year at 81.
The actress bought the house more than three decades ago with her third husband, James E. Duffy, for $177,000, public records show.
Chad Lund of Douglas Elliman brokered both ends of the deal.
