Former RHCP guitarist John Frusciante breaks tie to Venice canal home
Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante has sold a home he owned through a trust in Venice for $2.825 million.
Built in 1924, the charming canal-front bungalow features a bay window seat, stained-glass windows and wood-beam ceilings that are paired with more modern elements. Craftsman-style windows look out toward the water.
The light-filled cottage, known as Casa di Gennaio, contains 2,052 square feet of white-walled living space. The kitchen has been updated with a wine fridge, stainless-steel appliances and a walk-in pantry.
Counting the master suite, which has a reading nook, a fireplace and a balcony, there are a total of two bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Frusciante, 47, had two stints with the Red Hot Chili Peppers before leaving the band a second time in 2009. He played on five of their studio albums and in 2012 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
